gMunich is the capital of Bavaria. The city is located on the Isar River in the south of Bavaria.  Munich is the third largest city in Germany including Berlin and Hamburg.

Sights of Munich
Munich has two research universities, several multinational companies  that use world-class   technology, science museums such as The German Museum, BMW Museum and Siemens Forum. Also there are very popular sights such as the Frauenkirche, the famous New City Hall (Neues Rathaus).  Every year here is held a Traditional Oktoberfest beer celebration which is very popular among the tourists.

Parking in the streets of Munich
Paid parking applies in downtown of Munich (in such districts as, Hackenviertel, Kreuzviertel and Graggenauviertel):

  • Monday-Sunday
    - Parking Fee: from 06.00 o'clock till 19.00 clock  is € 0,50 per 12 min
    - Parking Fee: from 19.00 o'clock till 06.00 o'clock  is € 0,20  per 12 min
  • In the Central Railway Station area (Hauptbahnhof) the parking is limited to 2 hours between 06.00 o'clock and 18.00 clock.  After 18.00 clock there are unlimited hours. The parking fees in this area are 0,20 € per 12 min and maximum daily fee after 18:00 is € 6.

Parking lots in Munich
Unlimited parking is also available in the  parking lots in the downtown area. Parking fees in public parking facilities are: € 2.00 to 4.00 per hour.

P + R parking facilities in Munich
Cheap parking is in the many of P + R facilities located in the suburbs of Munich. To get to the city center you may with a help of Public transport. Daily parking fees are € 1.00 to 1.50. Please notice  that parking  more than for a day is not allowed. Penalty fee is  € 30,00.
