Parking in the streets of Paris
In many central streets of Paris the parking is not allowed. Parking is also prohibited in the main access routes, colored as red routes (ax rouge). Chargeable parking applies in three parking zones from Monday to Saturday between 9:00 a.m.and 7:00 p.m. Max. allowed time of parking is 2 hours, parking fees: € 1.20-3.60 per hour, depending on zone. The highest fee apllies in arr. 1, 2 and 8 Parking meters accept not only the coins, and also take the "Paris Carte" card, which can be bought in tobacco kiosk at a price of € 15 to € 40. The machine gives you a ticket, and you have to place it behind the windshield to make it clearly visible from the outside.
Parking lots in Paris
Unlimited parking is available in the parking lots in the downtown. Parking fees in public parking facilities: € 2.50-4.00 per hour, daily maximum is € 15.00-48.00. Some parking facilities offer special fees for the weekends and long term parking.
