Rome is the third most visited tourist city in Europe, the residence of the Italian government and the Roman Catholic Church. In the Rome downtown area the parking is possible, but is very limited. The best way to park is at the parking lots.

Parking in the streets of Rome
Chargeable parking applies in the downtown area of Rome:
- Monday-Friday from 08.00o'clock to 20.00 and 23.00 o'clock, depending on the zone
- Parking Fees: € 1.00-2.00 per hour
- Time of parking: unlimited
Parking lots in Rome
The parking in Centro Storico (historical part) is very limited. Most of the parking lots can be found around the old city area. Unlimited parking in the city center is available at the parking lots. Parking charges in public parking places: € 1.00-5.00 per hour, daily maximum Fees: € 12.00 to € 40.00.
Cheap parking is available at the parking lots or parking spaces near several metro stations outside of Rome downtown area. Most P+R facilities have parking Fees: €1.50 for 12 hours, or € 2.50 for longer (up to 24 hours).
